Once Avengers: End Game was released my son was obsessed with superheroes which is why I came upward with this Helm America shield craft in the first place!

Captain America Shield For Kids

The thing I love about this craft is that it uses paper plates and other supplies you likely already have on hand. It'due south cheap, fun and the perfect craft to make on a rainy bound day!

Plus, it promotes pretend play which I love! Kids are usually so engrossed with screens that they only don't get equally much pretend play. So once they finished this super fun superhero craft, they tin can be super themselves and save the globe!

Supplies you'll demand to make this Captain America Shield Paper Plate Craft

  • three Newspaper Plates (you want them to fit inside of each color so, three different sizes)
  • Red Acrylic Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Blue Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • Black Cream Sail
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

How To Brand Captain America Shield:

Step one

Start by painting the behind of your largest newspaper plate and your smallest newspaper plate red and allow them both to dry.

Step 2

In the meantime, trace out a circle that is merely large enough to fit on top of the smallest paper plate. We used the backend of a small-scale bowl to trace a perfect circle onto our blue cardstock using a pencil.

Cutting that circle out.

Step iv

Next, trace another circle of the same size but this time, onto the white cardstock. You lot will now need to describe a star on the inside of this circle. Doing then will permit the star to fit perfectly onto the blue circle once cut.

Cut out the star.

Step 6

Take your blackness cream sheet and carefully cut out a long strip and try to make the ends resemble handles. This is going to be the handle yous glue onto the paper plate to concur your shield.

Once your paper plates have dried, start assembling the shield by hot gluing the plates onto each other then add the blue circle and star.

Finally, flip the entire shield over and glue the black foam piece onto the backside of the plate. Let to dry.
